Meaningful social justice experiences
Franklin Pierce's Social Justice Institute offers extraordinary opportunities for students to gain valuable, practical social justice experiences outside the classroom. In particular, the Social Justice Institute helps provide funding for summer fellowships for students who are working with underserved or vulnerable populations.
Many of these summer experiences influence students' decisions to choose careers in the public interest. In fact, many Franklin Pierce alumni's summer work experience inspired them to either work full-time as public interest lawyers or to give back through pro bono volunteer work while working in the private sector. Regardless of the career path a student chooses, the Social Justice Institute can provide meaningful social justice experiences.
