Alma Alvarado worked as a Legal Clerk for New Hampshire Legal Assistance (NHLA) in their Manchester Branch Law Office where she assisted in providing civil legal services for senior and or low-income individuals from various parts of the State. Alvarado was able to work on special education advocacy cases, unemployment compensation appeals, public housing and fair housing cases. Her favorite part of the job was working with families to hold housing agencies accountable under the law and make sure her clients rights were not ignored or abused in the process.
